Psychiatrist

I am Kristine Dangremond and I am a psychiatrist trained to work with all age groups. My goal is to understand the whole picture of how health, environment, and history intersect to form a person. I work with individuals to tailor medication management and lifestyle changes to ensure the best quality of life possible within the challenges of illness.

I am originally from Montana and grew up on a farm. I studied biology, chemistry and music at Linfield College in Oregon (great place, I highly recommend Linfield). I worked for a few years in biotech and healthcare before studying medicine at George Washington University in Washington DC. I stayed at George Washington University to study adult psychiatry which provided a rich background in psychodynamic theory as well as psychopharmacology. I had the chance to work with everyone from the chronically homeless to powerful politicians. I then completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at the University of New Mexico where I was able to explore psychosocial trauma and it’s impact on child development. One of my formative experiences there was working as a psychotherapist in a clinic for severely medically ill children who were undocumented immigrants. That background has been very helpful in understanding the full range of human experience and how our histories impact the choices we make and how our histories form our children’s life stories.

Dr. Dangremond’s areas of expertise are:
